Hark hark my young friends tis a melancholly sound /
The arrows of death they fly swiftly around. /
Theres one of our number she's (sic) was fully in her bloom /
She was called away by death & now lies in the tomb. /
------
But now she's dead she's inviting you to come, /
Go read the inscription go read it on her tomb. /
Go down in yonder grave yard & read there with care, /
Remember tis not long before your body's (sic) must lie there. /
------
Oh now she is dead she is speaking unto you, /
Her language is such bid your follys (sic) adieu. /
I'd have you all prepare to die & leave this troublsome life, /
That your body's may return to the orbits of earth. /
------
But now she is dead she will soon be foregot, (sic) /
Her friends and relations will her remember not. /
Their cries & their tears they will soon be wipt (sic) away, /
While here she lies amoldering & turning back to clay. /
